FAQ

What is a lassi?

  • A lassi is a refreshing, traditional Indian drink composed of yoghurt, water, spices, and sometimes fruit. A cold lassi is the perfect beverage for a hot day, but we find that a lassi gin & tonic is just as satisfying

How do you make the gin clear?

Are we bastardising gin?

  • Possibly. Depends on who you ask.

Are we bastardising Lassi?

  • See answer above.

Do you make it in a bath tub?

  • This is not Breaking Bad and we’re not Walt and Jesse, so no, we do not make it in a bathtub. Crazy Gin is vacuum distilled in our Wolverhampton distillery, using our rotary evaporators (one of which is ironically named Heisenberg)

Will I get curry breath? Is it a curry in a bottle?

  • Not unless you’ve just eaten a curry. [We use a perfect balance of traditional Indian spices such as turmeric and black cumin to add unique kick and warmth to each sip.

Can I cook with it?

  • Yes! Crazy Gin is an extremely versatile drink that can be used in any number of sweet and savoury dishes. We always encourage people to get as creative as possible when cooking with Crazy Gin. You can see some of our favorite recipes here

Why is there a face on the bottle?

  • When you go to an unfamiliar place, seeing a friendly face is one of those things that immediately brings you comfort. We wanted people to get that friendly face feeling when they see a bottle of Crazy Gin in their local store, and we wanted that face to be the physical embodiment of us and our journey, hence the use of The Crazy Singh’s glasses. Why did we make a lassi gin?

  • We want to give people an avenue to better understand first generation British-Indian culture and erase some of the ignorance and stereotypes around it. And because no one else has done it!

Is the wax meant to look like a turban?

  • No but at least it’s on brand.
